Our Community Centre

Brief Overview
Home for Fratton Community Centre is the first Maternity Hospital in Portsmouth which opened in 1929. Despite the addition of a Sports Hall, a Gym and some modernisation in the 80s it retains many of its original features.
The Association is non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.
The Association has two core activities – to provide affordable space for organisations providing services to the local community to operate from within the heart of the community they serve and to provide facilities and activities for local people to promote wellbeing and inclusiveness. The Centre sees in excess of 100k visitors throughout the year. Attendees use the Pre-School Nursery, Café, the Gym, Sports Hall, various social groups and activities, and Church groups.
Fratton Community Association
The Committee is formed of volunteer trustees of FCA, which is a registered charity within the centre. Members are drawn from the local community and groups in Fratton who meet once a month.
The responsibility of the committee is to oversee the development of the organisation.
